PlanetCare: Care for the Ocean—1 Filter at a Time

PlanetCare: Care for the Ocean—1 Filter at a Time

Did you know that 35% of microplastics in the ocean come from our washing machines? Introducing PlanetCare. The first of its kind washing machine filter that captures microfibers before they go down the drain.

Your Laundry Is Making You Sick

Every time we wash our synthetic clothes, they shed thousands of tiny plastic pieces. They go into the wastewater, enter our ecosystem and end up in the food we eat. Microfibers don’t get filtered so they end up in our oceans, rivers and soil, hurting marine life and crops.

Your Laundry Is Making You Sick

Closed-Loop Technology

PlanetCare is the only closed-loop filter solution, making sure no microfibers get released into the environment. Ever. That’s right. We collect all used cartridges for free to recycle microfibers and refurbish cartridges for future use!

Using PlanetCare Is a Breeze

All you need to do is install a filter to your washing machine and catch thousands of tiny microfibers every time you do your laundry.

Three Ways We Care About the Ocean

Save 52 Plastic Bags Every Year

Every household with a PlanetCare filter saves 52 plastic bags worth of microfiber pollution per year from being released into rivers and oceans. And you could be one of them!

Curb Microfiber Pollution Today

PlanetCare users will stop over 500 tons of microfiber emissions from entering into the wastewater in the next 5 years. Not too shabby, right?

Be a Part of the Movement

By using PlanetCare, you won’t only effectively prevent microfiber pollution. But you’ll also fuel policy change — literally.

What's In the Package?

The package includes filter housing, three replacement cartridges, and mounting equipment. PlanetCare’s special cartridge technology makes each cartridge last for more than 30 laundry washes — which means up to 2 months of sustainable cleaning with each cartridge.

As of January 2025, all new washing machines in France will have to include a filter to stop synthetic clothes from polluting our waterways. We were only able to achieve this because of users like you. There’s still a long (but exciting) road ahead!
