Open Source Hardware
You own the device and can incorporate it into your own audio hardware projects. Design your own case, peripherals, and add-on boards. We include the necessary design files to get you started on complete customization. Of course, the software is also open source. After you've tried the examples, make your own apps. Songbird has full compatibility with the Arduino ecosystem and will run existing Teensy sketches, including the Teensy Audio library.
All the Ports
The audio jack supports both headphones and microphone. The microSD card slot can be used to store audio files for playback or you can record to it. The expansion port is compatible with numerous I2C knobs, sliders, and buttons. The USB-C port supports power, audio, serial communication, MIDI, and several other USB protocols.
